Beal Enterprises was formed as a Manufacturers Representative Firm by Rick Beal in July of 1990. Beal Enterprises is the "offspring" of Marion Beal Sales (a wholesale distributor/warehouse in California established by Rick's mom in 1978). Previous to 1978, Marion and Rick both worked at Doly Mfg (Now known as EZEE Mfg), a metal fabrication operation which manufactures hand trucks, engine hoists, tow bars, bumper hitches and other equipment for the Rental Industry on the West Coast.

Doly Mfg. was owned by Rick's paternal grandfather Mr. Edward Bruce, so Rick was able to work there at a very young age; Rick held most of the jobs at the plant including: sweeping floors, running the presses, painting, welding, shipping/receiving, delivery, but found his nitch in Sales.

When Marion Beal left to start a Distribution Company, Rick soon came along. Rick was first in charge of purchasing, and soon began to take on lines for Marion Beal Sales as a Rep Firm collecting a commission, rather than as a distributor who would buy and sell the products. Quickly Rick was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, which included hiring Rep Firms around the West Coast to sell products for Marion Beal Sales; but Rick's main duty was making the sales calls to the Rental Stores in S. California.

In July of 1990 Rick bought the Rep. portion of the business from the family. During this time Rick has taken lines from relative obscurity to being top in their class to his customers. Such manufacturers as: General Wire Spring, Maxim Mfg., and Dri-Eaz Products fit this category…In addition Beal Enterprises is proud to represent several well known companies in the industry: ASM; Hero; Louisville Ladder; Desa Heaters; MBW …and some local long time suppliers (EDIC; EZEE Mfg (formerly Doly Mfg.); JP Nolan; and New Haven Moving Equipment.

Over the years Beal Enterprises has opened a warehouse for some of the manufacturers they represent including DeWalt Power Tools, Porta-Nail, MBW, and Wagman Powertrowel Blades.

Near the end of 2005 Rick Beal bought the warehouse next to Marion Beal Sales so that their customers will have better access to even more equipment.
